ESPN employee: Sir, our ratings have been plummeting. Think it has to do with how political we've gotten? What should we do?

ETA: I'm sure this has been posted, but what an absolute clown show. I just don't understand this train of thought. How are educated, qualified people, in positions of power, so imbecilic and tone-deaf? It's mind boggling. Jemele Hill and Michael Smith weren't the answer. Yeah, my car radio is always on ESPN radio as I listen to the local sports shows. So it's on when I get in tmy car this morning and guess what they are talking about....
The NFL's new anthem policy of course. Now it is a legit topic but of course they are discussing how players could best circumvent the policy and that is typical and the culture they have cultivated.
