because he knew he couldn't. I don't get why people don't see this. It's his job to get his client cleared. He wasn't going to do that with DNA and shite. The trial would have lasted two seconds. He is going to focus on the narrative that he could create to get his client acquitted
This, Cochran was a very skilled lawyer who was two steps ahead the whole case and crafted a defense that got a blatantly guilty man off.
He did nothing more than his job, the blame lies with the prosecution and the police.

Why can't I be upset with both sides?

You can be. I'm just pointing out who failed to do their job. Cochran wasn't that person.

I agree with that...under the law as it currently is

the biggest screw up was the glove obviously
my serious issue is with whoever who was like "well don't take your arthritis medicine"... that's obviously meant to skew an exhibition in a criminal trial
the mistake was the defense attorney who made OJ put it on

still have a problem when u know your client is guilty and u do all kind of bullshite to get them off. That should be against the law.
Why? Everything he did was legal and only possible due to the incompetence of others.

Cochran did his job, but honestly I think any charasmatic black lawyer would have earned an acquittal with this shite bunch of jurors.

I'd like to see all guilty people get convicted too, but you can't exactly go after defense attorneys for representing them.

I will give Cochran credit, he has made a career out of preying on jurors racial sympathies and really had no shame using terrible images of unrelated injustices to do it. He had an understanding of how to use the cameras. I always thought the only way the prosecution could have won was attacking OJs black cred. They should have brought in all those pricks that had so much fun saying OJ wasnt black in episode 1 to make it clear this guy is not a civil rights hero.

Defense team was playing chess while the prosecution was playing checkers.

Maybe, but the more I watch the less I blame the jurors and the more I blame the DA for their horrible strategy and the LAPD for their frickery.

No man, these fricking black jurors said not guilty bc of payback. It was more a black man getting off than it was OJ. OJ was a pawn. He just happened to be the famous pawn the blacks were looking for. Victim mentality. frick all of them who cheered that day. Ridiculous

unfortunately for Clark and the prosecutors... it seemed like they expected an open and shut conviction with the DNA evidence on hand
seemed like they weren't ready for it to be railroaded into this complete racial cluster
and once the Fehrman tapes came out and the segments allowed into evidence... they had no response... needed to talk to Fehrman's attorney and make sure Fehrman said there was no way he could've planted the glove but instead let Fehrman just take the 5th on everything

Prosecution should have taken the offense on the race card from day one. This guy turned his back on the black community every chance he got. Dumped his black family to chase this white lady. This guy betrayed the black community. Do not bail him out now.
