Looking forward to this one. Think Spence is too big for Garcia though.

Big time fight.
If the odds are good enough, I will probably put some money on Garcia.

Mikey might be in trouble but he’s a special fighter. Should be a great, high IQ fight.

There’s a 16-fight undercard for this main event. Lol

Spence will wreck him starting midway through the fight, IMO. Too big, too fast, too skilled.

I'm a Mikey fan, if for no other reason than he told the promoters to go get fricked and held out to get from under their thumb.

Not only is Spence too big, but Spence is too good. Mikey had nothing to loose though. If he loses, everyone recognizes he went up two weight classes to fight a P4P contender. If he wins he shocks the world.

It should be a hell of a fight.

Spence all the way, only question is if he will wear him down enough for a stoppage. I like Mikey but don't understand why he wanted this fight. If Spence can land that left to the body it's very bad situation for Mikey.

I really like Mikey, but I feel he's biting off more than he can chew taking on Spence who is a natural at that weight.

But, Mikey has surprised more than a few folks as he's moved up in weight to take on bigger men. My heart wants Mikey to win, but my wallet says Spence.

Love Mikey, but expect Spence to walk through him.

Spence should be fighting Crawford. Mikey should be fighting Loma.

I saw the weigh-in and Mikey look pretty good, but a bit puffy and not as cut as Spence at that weight. Both came in under the 147 limit but Spence was cut like a body builder and will rehydrate to at least 160 by time the fight starts is my guess.

Not sure how much more weight Mikey can carry without looking bloated.

Bump since this is a fight that should stay at the top of the front page. You don’t see this type of fight happen in boxing much anymore...

We all mostly agree Spence will take this, but you have to give it up to an undefeated, multiple weight champion who, against his promoters & trainers & family’s wishes, said frick it and will jump up in weight to take on one of the top p4p guys in the world.

Why would an undefeated, 4 division world champion jump up multiple weight classes to fight a top p4p fighter instead of taking it easy & racking up easy pay days in his natural division?
quote:

“I’m taking this fight because I believe I can win, not because it’s a big fight or because I want to make a big noise for myself. Nah, no,” Garcia said. “After I win this fight, there’s no denying I’m No. 1 in this sport. No one else will have accomplished what I have. No one else will have the record I have. And no one else will be able to say they’re equivalent to me in accomplishments. That’s why I’m taking it.”

Bravo, Mikey Garcia That’s old school way of thinking right there.

Floyd Mayweather could have learned a thing or two from this guy, but he milked his career and fought a lot of guys past their prime to keep that 0 going. To even count that BS fight against McGregor is ludicrous.

I watched the greats of the 70's fight all comers and not cherry pick their fights and they let the chips fall where they may.

Guys like Duran, Hagler, Leonard, Hearns and a host of others that took fights to challenge themselves and cement their legacy in the sport of boxing.

First round just shows how much respect both guys have for each other. Staying outside reach, not making any mistakes.

Judges will probably give that round to Spence since he was more active.

3-0 Spence.

No one is really landing anything. Spence pulling out just because of activity.
