How long will it be before a High school football player sues a state Athletic association for more than 4 years of eligibility? How long will it be before we see a 20-21 year old super senior playing in a High school football game.

Sounds ridiculous right? But does It?

Texas Tech ruling had nothing to do with how many years of eligibility one gets.

there’s legitimate safety concerns there that aren’t present with college football. I get your point but it’s not exactly 1-1 here

This is peak overreaction

High schoolers are too young to even bet on games

The outrage with TT is that they’re allowing a QB who bet on his own games to continue playing

Fair.

My thought process is more along the lines of the individual organizations, such as the LHSAA having no authority in the face of a judge.

LHSAA passed a rule stating all litigation against it must go through EBR parish but I’m not sure that rule can withstand legal scrutiny

Maybe. But high school sports are much easier to claim as an extracurricular activity.

College football has been a for profit business for decades.
