1x 2nd team All-NBA and 2x 3rd team All-NBA during LBJ’s tenure there.

Aren’t those accolades what this threads all about?

And wasn’t DWade like 28 when LBJ arrived? Isn’t that the prime of most great b-ball players? Dude was 1st team all NBA the two years prior to James’ arrival.

He wasn't as good of an overall player as Scottie in his prime. Jordan had the luxury of playing with Scottie during the entirety of his prime. Pippen's value as a defender is vastly underrated. When LeBron broke the playoff record for most steals in the playoffs it was Pippen's record that was broken.

Scottie was first team for one championship (plus '94 and '95)
second team for two
third team for two
first team all defense every year

dwade was third team for lebron's two Miami championships

He wasn't the same player as '06 Wade due to injury

Ok. And I’m not denying Pippen’s greatness. But everyone seems to want to deny Wade’s greatness. Dude was a stud and LBJ got to play with Wade during Wade’s prime.

Ray Allen was old when he joined the Heat.

Wade was great the year Lebron choked and froze up against the Mavericks. Wade was a very good player the year they won their first title against the Thunder. Wade was a fricking minus the next year in the playoffs when they beat the Spurs. His knees were done, he wasn't in shape, he couldn't shoot. Three straight title runs were too much for his body to bear. And then the year they lost to the Spurs...my god. He couldn't even dribble.

Anyone who tries to dispute didn't actually watch those Heat title runs, or at least didn't watch them intently, and is just throwing Wade's name around as if every year Wade played he was prime 09 D Wade.

I posted before, but Wade vs Pippen is an interesting comparison. I looked at VORP to try to see both offense and D because I think Wade is better on offense and Pippen better on D.

Wade had higher peaks, which were before LeBron came. He was in a slow decline when LeBron showed up.

Pippen had lower peaks but was actually consistently better during the Bulls championship runs. You can argue Pippen was more of an asset during their respective duo days.

It makes sense to the extent that prime Wade was about getting to the rim and his decline pretty much tracks his athletic peak. Pippen brought more across the board, so his game sustained longer than the explosive scorer.
