The schools have got to have a way to enforce these contracts. The players should not have a loophole of unenrolling and reenrolling elsewhere to game the system.

For the millionth time, until they are employment contracts, these arent enforceable.

It’s not an employment contract. It’s a payment plan. It’s a contractor plan. It doesn’t matter, lawyers can call it what they want.

It’s a plan, to pay someone to be at a place for certain dates for certain payments.

I honestly think it’s so chaotic and some coaches like it because they are better at working the system so they won’t agree on anything.

How is the professional G League basketball player who hasn't taken a college class in a couple of years eligilble to play midseason for Alabama?

The Feds don’t care about the NCAAs made up eligibility rules.

They’ve said over and over that the NCAA is FOS and is just a pro sport hiding behind a paper mask of “amateur athletics”.

They don’t buy it, won’t support their rules and are going to humiliate them in court any time it’s pressed to that degree.

Until the players are actual employees with collective bargaining there are no meaningful rules. I suspect the 4/redshirt year eligibility stuff wont hold up either.

high income industries like finance and tech do have non competes, though? Athletes like Mensah are being paid like C level executives.

Yea but that's illegal.

How would it be illegal? If the players are not a union there’s no collusion against them. It’s just colleges who offered a sport deciding not to offer it for a certain length of time

Honest question, not meant to be insulting at all. Are you retarded?

The transfer portal is the one brutal component I want to see changed.

Transfer portal rules pre covid need to be reinstated. Losing a year of eligibility for transferring would take care of a lot of these issues.

Does Miami know that you can just recruit a QB out of HS?

This will certainly be Lane Kiffen's approach.
