Anyone here know why Bauer got pushed back until Saturday? That’s over a week off for him.

So watching last night's game, I watch David Bell leave in RHP Jones after walking a guy to get the bases loaded, have LHP Amir Garrett ready in the pen with a lefty stepping in to hit, and think to myself, "Does David Bell really even want to fricking win?"

Called my dad after Jones and David Bell got bailed out by one of our catchers playing shortstop (the most "REDS" thing I can think of) and asked him the same question.

Then 15 minutes later Amir fricking Garrett gives up the game-tying bomb in the top of the 8th, and get a text from my dad...
Message says "THAT'S WHY"

The bullpen just fricking sucks.

this is extremely insulting to kyle farmer tbh (and pretty much just wrong)

farmer has the uga record for fielding % as a shortstop. dude has a sick glove

It was a joke...the whole point of the post was about the bullpen.

Farmer had a hell of a game last night. He made 3 great plays at short and went 2/4 with 2rbis. I'm hoping Bell keeps him in over Galvis right now with the way we are swinging the bats. Need to find a spark and starting hitting consistently, not just at the top of the lineup.

I like Farmer at short (or second with Moose still out) and like Senzel back up at the top of the linuep.

But I reiterate: frick the pen

need to take atleast 3 from pitt.
Definitely possible with Disco, Gray, Bauer, and Castillo on the bump. Taking out the brooms would be YUGE.

Reds player tests positive for COVID. Series against Pirates in question. When the game ended last night someone ran out to Senzel and he didn’t go through the handshake line. He also seemed visibly upset. I wonder if he is the one.

Hopefully they’re staying distanced enough in non game situations that it didn’t spread like crazy and they can push through with minimal postponements.

So far it doesn’t seem to have spread in game situations.

Today and tomorrow postponed. They are both off Monday, so I’d guess a double header is possible then if no more positive tests.

They are due to play the Cardinals next week. Cardinals really don’t need any more postponements.
