Ohio State has to pretty much beat Wisky 59-0.

But then the question becomes "was Wisky overrated?"

We've already seen Ohio State lose by 2 TDs to a potential playoff team and by 31 to an average Iowa team. The big knock against Wisky has been the weak schedule. Why would beating Wisky by that kind of margin benefit Ohio State?

I would almost think you'd have to see Wisky put up a fight and lose a 42-21 type game or something like that. A close game hurts Ohio State, and I don't think a blowout like 59-0 helps either. It just proves what everyone thinks about Wisky.

That being said, 59-0 with Alabama sitting at home probably does leap frog Ohio State into the playoff.

I really think Wisky is #4 and Alabama is #5 because if it were the other way around, Ohio State has no shot at getting in, just like when Penn State won last year against the #6 team. Beating someone in the Top 4 likely gets you in. Beating someone outside the Top 4 doesn't.

Why is osu’s 15 point loss to a playoff team a blowout but bama’s 12 point loss to a playoff game team a hard fought game?

Who said it was?

Big difference though: Ohio State was home. Alabama was away.

They need this to be the case, whether it's reality or not.

It was also September not November. Are we trying to find the best September team or December team?

I watched the Ohio State/Michigan game. They are not the best December team.

We’ll find out in December when they play the only undefeated P5 team (another playoff team unless we win)

Probably because of the home vs away loss.

Plus the fact that Auburn is seen as this incredibly hot team right now. And they're #2.

I don't necessarily agree with that. And I wasn't too terribly impressed with Alabama on Saturday.

Lmao! The only way anyone will respect Wisky is if they beat ya'll. Otherwise, they are just an overrated team that benefited from a cupcake schedule.

That was a blowout loss. Barrett wasn’t mentally well and it’s kinda like Clemson QB was hurt and got a pass for losing to 4-8 suracuse. Barrett was mentally injured after those bad picks.

I didn’t give an excuse I was just using the committees logic of acceptable reasons why you get a pass for a loss. One is if your QB gets dinged. Ours was mentally fricked so it’s basically the same thing

We have 4 weeks until the bowls.

I wish Ohio State and Bama could have a play-in game in the interim if Ohio State beats Wisky.

That would make money.

Colleges like money.
