Sweet, so when he was in college throwing to open receivers, he was good. I had no idea. My day will be so much better now, thanks.

I know his coaches didn’t even trust him last year. When they needed to win they put Fitzpatrick in. That’s what I know. I don’t pay attention to college football.

And yet what I saw was Tua, turned loose, outdueling Kyler Murray in Arizona to bring the Dolphins back in the 4th for the win. That look on Murray's face after the game was just what I remember when Tua got him in the playoff.

Ugliest looking ball in history of hall of fame QBs. It's like he intentionally threw ducks.

Accurate ducks! But ducks nonetheless.

He did have a great arm

nah. great arm usually has a lot to do with arm strength IMO, and Leak's arm strength was good at best.

his older brother CJ had the big arm (and was a bigger dude) but never panned out as a QB (somewhat due to injury). I always though you put Chris's passing skills in CJ's body, might have been a first rounder.

Hated USC in these days but I remember Matt Leinart throwing a tight spiral - especially on the deep balls

Almost said this earlier. Beautiful lob passes to Mike Williams.

Leak had a great spiral but idk about great mechanics. He does this weird feet reshuffle when he made his decision and also brings the ball back over his head. It looks great but seems like a lot of load time. I'm no QB guru though.

I laughed when an earlier poster said he had great mechanics. He wrapped the ball behind his helmet before delivery.

Also, Gator fans weren't big on his habit of sliding or going out of bounds before the first down marker in some big situations in order to avoid a hit.

I was a student when Bert Jones played and i used to go early to the game JUST to watch his long throws in warmups. They were beautiful.

Belichick said he had the best ball of any quarterback he’s ever seen. And that he’d choose him over any quarterback to have on his team.

No love for Danny Wuerffel? Slightly unorthodox throwing motion but beautiful passes.

Imagine if Vick went to a better coach and organization than what the Falcons had to offer.

Imagine the silly numbers he would have put up in a modern college football offense. He would have been Lamar Jackson on steroids
