When do a couple of Ivy League teams decide they want to swim with the sharks?

If they do they’ll go all as a group

This is just funny. Some of you act like Michael Irvin or Trenton Thompson or Gene Jelks gave a rats behind about their school because they played 30-40 games instead of 12-20. Just laughable.

You guys have been rooting for soulless mercenaries for decades. I guess you guys just can’t stand to have to learn new names once a year. I personally haven’t cared about any player on my team for decades because I know they could have cared less about me or my school. The portal has proven this because now since they have the opportunity to leave they do.

As an example - look at Beck. He choose to stay and yet he gets nothing but crap from his fanbase because they have some L’s.

Long live the portal and an open payment system. Now, we just wait and see which schools start to buy wins and titles. We know the teams that have already been doing it for decades so now let’s see if anyone else starts doing it.

From this day forward, this situation should be known as, "Why can't Garrett Nussmeier be Matt Flyn?"

It’s all a jumbled mess. Conference realignments that make zero sense. NIL contracts that are insane. Kids jumping into the portal multiple times in their career.

At best, CFB is now semi pro football.

I saw it from the inside when I was in school, which guaranteed that I could never really be a fan of any team.

I love college football but you are on the money with this and, at least at Miami, the football program was only tangentially related to the university other than being its marketing arm.
