This is stupid. There is nothing different than the rest of the games, except the batters are hot.

It's not vague in the least.
It is.
quote:

If the ball crosses over the space above the plate as in the geometric shapes it would make if it were extended upward, in the zone defined in the rule for the upper and lower boundaries, it's a strike. If it doesn't, it's a ball.
Does the whole ball have to be within the zone, or just a stitch? Maybe a majority? It's open to interpretation. And as I mentioned before, it does not mention whether the zone is strictly 2D at the front/rear of the plate, or if it is 3D with some depth and any part of it can be touched. Open to interpretation.
quote:

This is a 100% clearly defined zone that is able to be inlayed on the damn TV screen. You're literally too stupid to insult.
One interpretation of it is overlayed.
quote:

Because balls are coming at 90-100 mph with movement and it's very difficult to judge accurately.
Yep, and it's judged by human beings, each of whom has their own tendencies.
quote:

If you have the technology to easily and fairly judge a rule, you should use it.
I used to think this way, too. But then I realized that, at least for balls and strikes, it's better to have some variation to keep pitchers and batters on their toes. It makes things interesting.

Would be hilarious if this ends on a stolen home run fly out.

Think the only reason it wasn't called a strike was because McCann had to move his glove so far. Couldn't frame it well.
