I said something similar when polls came out and ole miss was still ahead of Florida. I was met with the “well Florida just beat them durrrrr so you can’t rank them behind”

It’s utterly stupid to have these wild swings from week to week. Polls should be done based on body of work, circumstances surrounding, and a bit of predictive reasoning.

Florida isn’t a better team than ole miss. Anyone paying attention can see that.

Should Oklahoma be ranked ahead of texas right now? They surely won’t finish in a better spot by seasons end so factor that in the rankings now.

AP voters are 90% beat writers or regional media. Which means the weekly rankings that some people delusionally cling to are filled out by journalism school dweebs who

1. Objectively have no idea what they’re watching
2. Can’t physically watch other games because they have to do their team affiliated jobs when the games are going on. They can’t even catch up the next day if they wanted to because ballots are due at 11 AM ET

In what other universe are the opinions of people uniquely uneducated AND unprepared to speak on a topic treated with anything other than total mockery? It’s genuinely insane the poll still exists
