I had just started to play golf. I had made a couple pars up to this point but never a birdie. I put a 3 wood within 10 feet on a par 5. I was "I will make an eagle before my first ever birdie" I putted over the hole and missed the birdie and missed the par putt. I threw my putter into the water. Then the next hole I made an 80 foot birdie putt with my friends putter

I guess it's bc I can relate to such a golfing story but I laughed out loud when I read this

And to answer your question yes I remember it and yes I missed it

#10 at Audubon Park, Par 4 about 320. Smoked my drive and had it 4ft put for eagle. Saw the beer cart. Told my wife (gf at the time) to grab me two beers while I was putting. If I make it or miss it, I'll need some booz.

I missed it.

Two things never happened again after that. I never got a close eagle putt and I never invited my s/o to play again.

Don't remember first birdie.. But first eagle was a 70 yard chip in on a Par 4 at my home course. Was pretty pumped about that one.

I have made maybe 7-8 in my life and none in about two years. Last weekend I drove the green on 15 at LSU and missed a 10 footer for eagle

Yes. It is at a course in my hometown. I hit the flagstick on a par 3 and it bounced off for a tap in. I had just started playing and I was really excited.

first birdie was par 3 no. 14 at Colonial in Harahan-- eight iron to about 12 -14 feet and hit a putt with about 18 inches of break (anyone who played there prob remembers the greens were the best part of that course).

Had a couple of kick-in birdies on solid approach shots but only legit eagle try was no. 16 at Copper Mill (short part four). Drove the green downwind and missed 10-12 foot eagle putt. Put it 18 inches past the hole-- was not going to be short on only legit eagle putt of my life. I've seen guys leave eagle putts short and that just baffles me.

Try to make 3, but be sure you make 4

Not birdie but definitely eagle. It was number 11 at webble beach when I was about 14. It felt better than sex at the time

couldn't tell you my first birdie, but my first eagle came when i was about 15. closing out the day on the long par 5, nutted my drive, hit my 8 iron over the green to a raised cliff 15' or so above the hole. green slopes back to front, middle left flag, chipped with my SW and it was like the ball was magnetized being pulled to the hole. one of my favorite memories with my pop.

First Eagle....par 4 #2 at DSCC

Hit drive in the fairway, holed out a PW from a little over 100 yards, playing by myself, no one to witness

I remember my LAST eagle. It was sweet, crushed my drive on par 5 #10 at Cedar Crest here in Dallas. Wind was helping a little and the fairway slopes down pretty good, so I ended up with ~170 into an uphill green. The pin was in the back, so I hit a 5 iron (usually my 185-195 club), figured I'd rather be short than long (there is a ditch in front of the green). Landed about 20 feet behind the hole on the fringe. downhill left to right breaker and I drained it

Eagle'd by knocking in a bunker shot when I was 16.

10 years later and I haven't had another one.

One birdie in a round makes my day. I've had some really fun ones including one with a long putt like yours.
