He is laughing that a human being with a brain functional enough to type has Bird over LeBron.

Lebron's resume is definitely longer but why does this board act like in their prime they are not very close?

Because they arent close in the sense that it is reasonable to have Bird ahead. They just arent

I wouldn't have Bird ahead of him either but I saw this awhile back (not sure if it's true or not).

Birds highest win share in a season is 15.8

LeBron has 5 seasons higher than a 15.8, with his highest being 20.3

Birds highest VORP is 8.7

LeBron has 6 seasons higher than a 8.7, with his highest being 11.6

Birds highest PER is 27.8.

LeBron has 7 seasons higher than a 27.8, whith his highest being 31.7

LeBron has averaged more points, assists, FG% PER, VORP, WS than Bird over a career.

Looking at what I just posted, I have no idea how it could possibly be true

It looks like they just compared Bird's season at 30 with Lebron's season at 30 and not their overall careers by then.

I named my dog after Duncan. So yea, he is a T10 player of all time.

Only reason I have Bird ahead of Lebron is because Lebron ain't done yet.

I fully believe Lebron will be #2 all time by the time he is done.

Yea, I think he's top 10 of all time. Best player of his generation- Kobe, KG, Dirk, etc.

I honestly think you can make an argument for him as a top 5 player.

If Lebron got shot in the head tomorrow, his career is still better than Birds by a fairly wide margin

Hell, he already has played more minutes than Larry

He could retire right now and be #2 (and arguably #1 since he didn't get his dad murdered over gambling debt).
