Not even close. You probably watched half the game… not a real good sample size to state “best ever”

Bo rushed for under 1,200 yards his sr year. Derrick went for over 4,200. Dude did more than Bo's entire h.s. career in a single season

For one, this has nothing to do with that guy's story, but in Bo's defense he averaged more yards per carry. Henry had over 300 more carries (A machine )

Damn, it's HS. Everyone that will be a D1 prospect will be a "problem" for other HS teams. Pump the brakes.
Add "be a problem" to the sayings that I wish would go away.

Hell you can go lower than that.

A guys whose career ended at Delta State ran for over 450 in a Mississippi 5A (highest at time) game to set the state record (and had gone over 400 a game or so earlier) only to never be heard from again. It's pretty wild how exponential the talent difference gets at these levels.

There was tons of top committed college players on both sides of the ball. This wasn't your usual big college recruit vs sisters of the blind high school.
Sorry you don't have the scouting ability to decipher elite acceleration, balance, power, quickness/suddenness. This kid is the full package.

I disagree with the opinion most have on this board regarding DGG. IMO, he is a generational talent and a top 3 or 4 HS running back prospect to come out in the modern college football era.

"All time" is a tough comparison, but I would compare this kid to a Bo Jackson or Herschel Walker level of talent in high school. He's obviously a different type of RB than big, fast Derrick Henry or shifty, athletic Reggie Bush. I think he's the best RB prospect since Henry and Fournette came out. He reminds me of Bijan Robinson in college.

The question should be, will he pan out?

The problem with the elite athletes now is the payday and Wild West atmosphere in college can ruin great players.

Brentwood Academy is good, but Baylor is on another level with their recruiting. Ate dinner with the athletic director from my high school last week. Most of the large private schools are trying to either get Baylor kicked out or break away from the TSSAA. It's going to be interesting to see what happens there

The one position that they should allow to go pro after one college season is Running Back. They would have to meet certain benchmarks but most running backs only have a certain number of runs in them and they are highly susceptible to injury. If this kid is as good as advertised, Tennessee is going to really abuse him and after 3 years of WAY to many touches he's going to be mostly used up. Such is the life of a star freshman running back.

I think it’s only a matter of time before the elite ones drop out after two great seasons and just prepare for combine/draft. The Jamaar Chase route but for RBs

I kind of feel like this too and was upset OSU didn't land him. Hard to predict but crazy he isn't the #1 ranked RB in this class even as of now
