maybe just maybe Jordan was insanely popular because we watched him excel every year and not shrink from the challenge

jordan was MJ long before he won a title, back when he was criticized for not winning like lebron is now

it took jordan a good bit of time to get a team around him capable of winning titles

Lebron never opting in on the dunk contest, choosing Miami with a couple other super stars are all some obvious examples of Lebron's personality that he's a big ole bag of pocket pussies which separates himself from the mentalities of the Kobe's and the MJ's of the world. Lebron's talent has to overcome his bag of pussy pockets he's got in his pants.

Weird you never see him playing shutdown D on someone his own size.

I know you're just trolling, but I don't want others to read this and take it as their opinion. I've watched LeBron shut down Centers in this league like Al Jefferson to the extent that they couldn't even get the ball, much less make baskets. Does LeBron apply himself defensively every game? No, but neither did Jordan. But when LeBron needs to shut someone down, he's more than capable of making life difficult for a 6'0 guy or a 6'11 guy. It's nothing short of amazing, and I wish we could just appreciate it instead of trying to diminish it.

It helped, but it also helped that he dominated. And Lebron will always have the 2011 finals to deal with where he ran away from the big moment. Jordan never came up small in a big moment.

it's a different era. kobe was in the dunk contest once. vince was in the dunk contest once

i don't think lebron was invited his rookie year, and he was an all-star his 2nd year. that means he had a 1-year window, basically

jordan didn't win a title until his team was good enough to do it, also. should lebron have just stayed in cleveland and never won a title due to bad management?

You say this like a comparison existed.

Scottie and Rodman are definitely some all time D greats, MJ's right there with them. All 3 of which are probably better D players than Kobe and look how Kobe can shut LBJ down when needed. IT's funny.

BC of pocket pussies like Lebron. Dwight Howard, Blake Griffin and others managed the testicles to do it.

You have to realize, that anyone born after about 1985 or so, isn't likely to have a full appreciate for Jordan. It is only natural.

it took more than just pippen

pippen was drafted in 87-88 and they didn't win a title until 90-91

I feel like you're selling Pippen and the rest of those Bulls teams short. Pippen wasn't just an all-star quality player. He's an all-time great player. There's no reason to diminish the quality of the rest of those teams just to prop Jordan up. Maybe you didn't mean it the way it sounds though.

the dunk contest hasn't been about stars for over 20 years. it's a showcase for young talent

griffin and howard needed the dunk contest. lebron didn't

Pippen didn't develop into an all star until 1990. Thanks in large part to Jordan's help.

Lebron needs it bad cause he's a bag of pocket pussies in this fan's opinion cause he was too scared to compete. Ah, the word compete.... it's a great word when you chew on it.

And he's just a few months away from potentially sitting at home for the playoffs with an All-Star caliber frontcourt.

If LeBron wins 5 NBA finals MVP awards I will change my tune, do you think that will happen?
