The 1964 Alabama Auburn game was played on Thanksgiving Day. Ray Ogden ran the second half kickoff 107 yards for a touchdown. Bama won 21-14.
I was at my grandfather's house in North Alabama. The TV was connected to an antenna on a galvanized pole. My father would turn it till the picture cleared up and my uncle would holler for him to stop through an open window.
Great memories.

Cal and Stanford used to play the Big Game on Thanksgiving Day.
There is some notable history here. The 1900 Thanksgiving Day Big Game is marked by being the greatest sporting disaster in US history.
