I have to agree with the OP. I have been impressed with the testimonials of those who were close to him and he seemed to be a force of nature trying to be a source of light in the world. I haven’t watched the NBA since the mid Nineties and didn’t follow Kobe’s career very closely but he was definitely a positive role model and seemed to get it from an early age.
