Deshaun Watson’s contract is worth a total of $177.54 million with nearly $111M in guarantees. Other than Patrick Mahomes 12-year deal, this is the largest total contract, as well as guarantee in NFL@history.

But what’s Trubisky’s contract like?

Wow. Watson is brave in trusting that Bill O’Brien will provide him options that aren’t broken or spent moving forward.
I admire his loyalty, but good grief.

Eh he’s taking the big pay day first and then can worry about that kind of stuff going into his second contract extension
Given his injury history, he’s gotta secure that first payday first

The fact that offensive and defensive linemen continue to let themselves be so undervalued is crazy.
$40m a year for a good QB.
How much does his entire offensive line make?

Tunsil is the highest paid LT in the league and they just gave their center 51 mil.
Much easier to find elite talent on the Oline/Dline than it is to find an elite QB. That’s why their value is where it’s at not because “they continue to allow it to”

Wow...... so when do they get him a decent coach??????? Next Thursday night will be even more interesting...

Meh. He has injury history and was able to secure frick you money for several generations. And if he stays healthy he will still have several years close to his prime to chase a ring after this deal is up

Agree.
First contract is slotted.
Second contract is the big payday.
Third and after are for chasing a ring if you don't already have one.

I think you’re confusing the Colts and Texans on the center. Texans just paid ILB Zach Cunningham $58M. David Johnson, Brandin Cooks, and Randall Cobb are all on contracts with awful value unless Cooks stays healthy. LB Bernardrick McKinney is another one who will probably be gone after this year.
I think you have do what you did for Watson, Tunsil, and Cunningham but the other contracts on the team could make it difficult in a couple of years.

Yeah it was 33 mil instead of 51 my b

He just got 9 figures guaranteed. I think he's ok.
