Can we at least all agree that Rose is the best point guard in the league?

I think Howard is slightly overrated. He's the best player at what I'd say is the weakest position as a whole in the NBA right now. It's not hard to look great at your position when no one else is really stepping up to challenge you.
So he gets discredited because of the competition around him. Cmon. Most teams don't when championships without big men. I'll take an elite level big over an elite level SG 7 out of 10 times probably.

Hell if Bynum would stay healthy and get pt and more looks, then he'd be better than Howard,
Not even close to being true.

And where exactly did I discredit him? He;s the best center in the NBA. All I said was that it was in part due to the fact that it is currently the weakest position in the NBA. Do you disagree with that statement?

Well no shite. When was the last time a team won with nothing but guards and wingmen on the floor?
Even if you meant centers, I guess you forgot that Jordan won a title/titles with Luc Longley and Bill Wennington as his centers.

Despite the fact that Bulls won 6 nba titles with an elite SG and the Lakers have won 5? Okay.

Bynum more than held his own against the Dwight when they played 2 weeks ago.

True, but look at virtually every champion in the last 30 years. They all had a SG that was in the top 5 that year. Some of them had stud big men, but for others they were just another piece of the pie, nothing special.

I think the elite big man was the cause of 3 of those.

Shaq was definitely the primary cause for the Lakers first of the threepeat, but it was even keel for the next two.

If Dwight could develop some sort of a post game besides just dunking it, he would easily be the best player in the league, and i do think D. Rose deserves some heavy consideration for MVP - Hes the best PG in the league and is leading his team to the best record in the East above Boston and the all mighty Heat, thats pretty impressive. And yes he does have help, but so do all the other top teams

Lebron can't get to the rim in the half court. Rose can. It's that simple
This thread has gone full retard.

Did the Pistons, Spurs, and Celtics really have a top 5 SG? That was just the last ten years. Then you had Shaq who was the major piece to three of the Lakers recent titles.
Also Paul and DWill are definitely better PGs than Rose. Rose isn't nearly as efficient as other stars which IMO points to Thibs working magic as the Bulls coach.

Paul isn't better than any of those guys. Maybe he used to be.
He plays like he has 5 fouls the whole game, avoiding contact at all costs.

Yes. Allen may not have the best stat line, but consider the circumstances.

I disagree. Rose is better than Paul no question, and a little better than Williams

Rose basically has Williams size with Paul's speed. Dude's a helluva athlete.

1a. Paul
1b. Rose
1c. Williams
Paul's the more gifted passer of the bunch, Rose the most explosive, and Williams all around good across the board... imo. Can't go wrong with any of them... all three are elite and on the same level in my book.
