Bingo, step 1 is having Te'o remaining silent, step 2 is comb over thousands and thousands of interview scripts from the last year to come up with a story that at least somewhat compliments all the lies, step 3 is to sew up loose ends with people who might have material/knowledge of something that is not easily explainable with whatever bullshite they are whipping up, step 4 is slowly release details about what "happened" a la the uncle's interview last night, step 5 is push forward with the main bullshite story
