Assuming for a moment, Teo was tricked, why publicize the death of a person you have never met?
Why not be honest about having a long distance online and telephone relationship with a young girl who sadly died of cancer?
Who really called to tell you she was dead?
How did they convince you not to cone to the funeral?
How do you not find the obituary to keep for your own memory?
What funeral did he send the roses to?
What address?
What phone number did he call her at?
Who does that number belong to?
When did he get suspicious and why did he not come clean?

These are just a few of the questions he is going to have to answer convincingly and, even if he is able to do so, he is going to appear mentally retarded and/or psychologically unstable.

You're making too much sense.

You know there's no way Te'o was duped. He knew she was fake from the start, because he made her up

That doesn't make ANY SENSE. You don't make up a GF then kill her the same time your grandmother dies. Not to mention ND would have obviously found that out during their investigation and that press conference would of been VERY DIFFERENT.

That really is mindblowing.

@ChiTribHamilton: Manti Te'o on 12/8, 2 days after hoaxers call again: "I don't like cancer at all. I lost both my grandparents and my girlfriend to cancer."

NotreDame AD Jack Swarbrick said hoaxers re-contacted Manti Te'o while he was in Orlando on Dec. 6. That quote is from Dec. 8.
So even if he was hoaxed, its a FACT that 2 days after finding out he was catfished, he kept up the lie

It blows my mind that someone or a group of people could put so much time invested toward a 3 year relationship. If it was for sport, I could see the hoaxer killing their fictional character off as he started to gain publicity to avoid hurting Manti and themselves. this whole thing is just wierd....

I'd like to see this evidence that has Swarbrick so convinced.

Well obviously he did make her up dumbass. He has obviously lied about her, and kids these days don't have long distance relationships without skyping, tweeting, instagramming, facebooking, etc. It's impossible to get duped, that's why that catfish show is fake AF.....cause no one is that stupid.

I have a theory on what this weirdo did and why, and it involves him being a mentally unstable gay

How do you call someone "the love of your life" while never meeting them?

ESPN ran part of the interview he did.

This is what told me he is in on it.

Didn't he also claim to have gone to Hawaii with her and that they exchanged numbers at stanford?

You have to be incredibly naive to believe his story in the face of the heaps of evidence revealed. It reeks of hero worship... A blind believer. That's what I mean.

That doesn't jive.

If he loved her as much as he said he did ("the love of his life") he wouldn't have been embarrassed of their relationship.

And if he was suspicious that she was fake, why not let the story die down and not continually talk about how much the loss affected him?

That literally answers none of his questions.

Dude what are you talking about? We don't know his story?

Either way before anybody passes judgement you should watch that documentary to understand how elaborate the whole thing gets.

He's just trolling you dude. Playing devil's advocate....going against the grain. No sane person can be hoaxed, or believes Te'o was hoaxed. No normal person thinks this guy is some innocent victim. He's a weirdo pathological liar, who probably suffers from teh gay

At the very minimum he eventually found out and kept lying, so he's guilty regardless
