Have we discussed the Cardinals Fullback who says the girl is real?

I think Greenie likes to play the devil's advocate a lot, his "opinions" are wrong a lot because of it.
I haven't been listening. Is he running the show alone? If so then yeah I'd probably agree with your interpretation. I figured he was working with Golic, and thus agreeing with Golic.

Reagan Mauia, a fullback for the Arizona Cardinals, told ESPN.com that he met Lennay Kekua when he, fellow Polynesian teammates and Steelers star Troy Polamalu did charity work in American Samoa in June 2011.
"This was before her and Manti," Mauia said. "I don't think Manti was even in the picture, but she and I became good friends. We would talk off and on, just checking up on each other kind of thing. I am close to her family. When she was going through the loss of her father, I was -- I offered a comforting shoulder and just someone to bounce her emotions off. That was just from meeting her in Samoa."
quote:
"She was tall," he said. "Volleyball-type of physique. She was athletic, tall, beautiful. Long hair. Polynesian. She looked like a model.”
Mauia said that it was his understanding that Kekua’s mother, who he had never met, is operating her Twitter account. When told by a reporter that she apparently did not exist, Mauia said, “No, she is real.”
I don't even know what to think about this.

He's on with Mark Schlereth. But Greenie is doing most of the talking.
He's basically saying he will reserve final judgement until after Manti's presser, but says he finds it hard to believe Manti didn't know at least more than is being let on.

The only thing that makes sense is he got legit catfished. But before she "died" he was already suspicious and he just decided to go along with it until the Holidays when he could go home clear his thoughts and talk to his parents. And the Cardinals FB is just full of shite or apart of the catfish scam.

The Stanford guy seems like he met someone else, or something.
I personally believe he knew about it at some point, and it just got wildly out of control.

Who was on the other line for 8 hours a night?

Its almost impossible that he knew. I definitely think he was suspicious and just wanted to wait until the Holidays to go home and talk to his family

I thought cowherd was supposed to be with Greenberg all day today I'm interested to see what yes to say

I'm shocked that the Notre Dame AD and many of the ESPN reporters are speaking so confidently that they haven't all been duped by Te'o. Wojciechowski is saying that T'eo's feelings were definitely real. These guys are going to look worse because they are falling for the "catfish" story.
Te'o definitely knew at some point that it wasn't real and he kept lying.

yeah that part confuses me. I would assume they just mixed up people, but i can't imagine him not hearing about the cancer and dieing. Surely he knew others in "her" life.

That is typical for catfish scams I believe.

Yeah, and I think that will eventually come out. And that will be the downfall of all this. He may not have come up with this, but he knew it was a hoax at some point.

Gene Wojohowski is on Mike & Mike right now talking about it.

If he had fully known there is no way he plays it up in the media the way he did. That make NO SENSE. Any sympathy he wanted could of been gotten with his grandmother dying.

I really hate you
You know there's no way Te'o was duped. He knew she was fake from the start, because he made her up

So in three years he never met her IRL or even video chatted with her? And this wasn't fishy to him c'mon man.
