"Sometimes we create these narratives about great players -- Caitlin was one of them; Paige is one of them right now -- and we tend to forget the narrative about what our kids have been able to do, going for their third in four years," Staley said Saturday. "There's a sentimental narrative about Paige. A great freakin' player. Anybody would start their franchise with Paige because she's a winner. ... But when you put a narrative out there, everybody sees that, and it puts us at a disadvantage, whether you want to believe so or not. Officials see it. It's all over TikTok. It's all over 'SportsCenter.' It's all over all of that."
Staley is trying to remind certain refs to stay the course and crown her for all her perceived victimhood.
Staley does this against certain coaches and players. She and her media running buddies are all dyed in the wool racists.

Dawn Staley dosen't like white girls getting attention in a "black sport", and water is wet. News at 10

It’s cool, though. I like when sports events become black vs white. It generates white pride, which I like to see because it stands to prove that black pride is also racist as frick.

Most hated coach since Bob Knight

A battle where very few fans win (both whine, for different reasons) and both hopeless in their current victimhood viewpoint, Geno went after Clark last year along with his former player Taurasi, calling Caitlin Clark fans delusional....
quote:
"The delusional fanbase that follows [Clark] disrespected the WNBA players by saying that she's going to enter that league and tear it apart," Auriemma said. "There were actually odds on... she's third or fourth in betting odds on being MVP of the WNBA. These people are so disrespectful and so unknowledgeable and so stupid that it gives women's basketball a bad name."
In her first season, Clark won the WNBA Rookie of the Year award basically unanimously (except for some loser race hustler who voted for the brick-layer, self-rebounding Instagram victim) and made the All-WNBA First Team....She set league single-season and single-game records in assists, broke the rookie scoring record, and became the first rookie to achieve a triple-double....oh, and
Caitlin Clark finished 4th in WNBA MVP voting in her rookie year.
But Staley is worse, she built a Tall Amazonian team over the years that isn't exactly fan-friendly watchable ...in fact, it's the side of the female game people are turned off by, brutish force and winning because your giant players get multiple shots at the basket with rebounds each trip down the court....and then she complains nobody embraces her team and you must like us for equities' sake...she loves telling people and the media who to like and people are racist to enjoy Clark's play.
Oh...and you damn well know, if it was JuJu Watkins getting the media love heading into the Championship game instead of Bueckers, Staley wouldn't have said a thing.

Dawn staley is a inegma. She is afro american and takes everything personal and is racist. However catch 22! Because of the great country of USA she is able to have opportunity to do what she is doing, voice her opinion, and be a sucessful rich person of color! Dawn I beg you to view things way! Please close your bitter heart and mind. Take a deep breath and realize how good you have it compared to your brothera and sisters of color on other parts of the world! You can set the example for how to act and lead the way. Instead you choose to divide and cause hate! We will all be here to suport you when you decide to change your ways!

Nothing in the article is racist. She's advocating for the recognition her team deserves. Whrn the press bangs on Mulkey like that LSU fans get upset. She can be a drama queen but not this time.

What?
The press has NEVER banged on Staley the way they bang on Mulkey. Not once. Not sure what you’re talking about.

I doubt she would have gone to White House

Looks like her big, fat mouth got another team fired up for the championship game. She fails and looks like a fool again. Hope she learns from this. Just kidding, she’ll never learn.

What do you mean "where?"

"I just want to put it out there. I can't not address it because it's happening. It happened to us last year. Everything was about Caitlin Clark and her legacy and her ability to win a national championship. Yet we were coming into this thing undefeated, doing something that's unprecedented at the time. We find ourselves back here in a similar situation."
All of that is where. But, it's a moot point now, because USC got smoked.

It’s funny in fact how the media bangs on Mulkey. Staley sure didn’t say much to Auriemma after the game went final. I have no doubt that Mulkey would have embraced him and talked to him for a good 30 seconds.
