I moved into the area in the dog days. I knew that the losing had done a number on the fanbase but it was really staggering to show up to my local academy and see more lsu gear than Astros gear. Even in 2015 and 2016 I was probably one of about 3-4 people at my office who could name more players than "that bearded guy and the short guy". Now there's Astros gear all over the workplace Astros day at my kids school it's awesome!

It was nice though being able to spend less than a movie to go to the ballpark sit 3rd row 1st base dugout eat ($ hot dog) and park on a Wednesday

Same. Afternoon meeting was bumped to first thing in the morning, in case you needed another reason to dislike Europeans

It’s a shame too because in 01-08, the Astrosore talked about on the radio than either the Texans or rockets.

The blackout tv deal and 100 Ls did a number on the Astros. I like to more people are coming back than hoping on the bandwagon for the first time.

This is what got me. When Fox Sports SW killed televising the Astros, it kind of corresponded with the black hole years. Being in SE Louisiana, it was hard to follow with much dedication for awhile.

Meanwhile, in downtown Los Angeles, while we're in line for some street tacos, some Hispanic 14 yr old kid dressed in a full-decked-out Dodgers uniform just said to my 8 yr old, "Dodgers in 7 chinito."

I shite you not. True story.

My son told him, "You have to go back bad hombre."

Ok, ok... that last part isn't true. But the chinito comment is. And for the uninformed, my wife is Vietnamese and my son does have a bit of chinto look.

This is going to be a fun night.

So is he suspended from attending the first 5 Dodger games next year?

I would be shocked to see Morton at all.

He has to be your game 7 plan B behind McCullers. And I think if you have both available you start Morton and then bring in McCullers. And at that point everyone but Verlander would be potentially available.

Don't let any Dodger fans kill you when we win it.

Yeah and there's obviously no way you see both Morton and McCullers tonight. I'm sure AJ has one available in relief for tonight (probably Lance) and one that isn't

Those of yall who live in the Houston area I Have never seen anything like this. Everywhere you go it's Astros. Every store. Every place. Every conversation. Got my hair cut and the old women in there were breaking down the bullpen issues. It's nuts how badly this city wants this. I hope they bring it home tonight like I've never hoped for anything.

Ironically, it's a lot like this three hours to the east here in Lafayette.

I wish I could make the drive to be there for that. Minute Maid played its part this postseason. We are so used to seeing other stadiums like Fenway and Yankee Stadium loud and amped up in the World Series. It was awesome to see OUR stadium experience that excitement for once.

(2005 doesn't count since we got swept)
