Bad news, baws.
I have it on good authority that the MMP roof will be open, despite the Astros recommendation for it to be closed, for Games 4 and 5, if necessary.
During Game 3, however, the roof will be closed.

Why should it be closed? Should be a rule that roof is open if weather permits.

Rain chances on Friday will keep it Closed. Sat and Sunday going to be cold at night. That sucks.

Welcome to the DAT. A thread reserved for Astros fans.
Trolls are welcome, but dumbasses need to GTFO.
Thanks in advance.

Now now... let's be honest... Dumbass Trolls have a place here too.
Why else would SirWinston be allowed to stay around?

Very welcoming I see. It was on the More Sports board. I'm not trolling. Was rooting for the Astros and the AL to win, but fans like you make it hard. Astros fans for the most part are terrible on this board and hope they aren't like that in real life.

Probably because fans of historically bandwagon teams constantly put us on the defensive.
As far as your original comment, no, the roof shouldn't be open just because it can be. It should be the Astros' decision, and they would decide to keep it closed, as it provides a definite home field advantage.

Why didn't they just build a dome then? If you have a retractable roof, it should be open if weather permits.

I see you're missing the point.

Luckily god agrees and is blowing in harsh winter conditions into Houston this weekend.

Fundamentally I agree if you build a retractable roof stadium it should be open unless weather is too cold... Too hot or raining.
I'm sick Of our fans thinking we can't rock MMp without the roof closed. Did Yankee stadium have a roof? No and they were very loud.
That said if it's in the 50s outside and damp the roof should be closed.

So, you have doors and windows on your house, right?
Do you automatically open them all of the time when weather permits?
I'm just not following your logic. Each ballpark has its own set of uniqueness of ground rules. Whether the roof is open or closed should be a club ground rule decision not an MLB decision.

This is exactly the reason. The sports media also prefers the bandwagon teams and will do anything possible to help give them the advantage.
