And for an 8 hitter/CFer Chas really is pretty solid. Can punish a mistake and has oppo power. We could do a lot worse there

Does anyone remember that the Astros were 3.5 games behind the Angels on May 1, 2022? Does anyone remember that the Astros were under .500 as late as April 25, 2022? No!
Let these guys get healthy in that first month and we will go from there.

Also, is Row 32 in Section 127 below the overhang? I was thinking row 36 is where the overhang started but I can’t remember.

I’d be interested to see Tucker in the leadoff spot, I’ve wondered if moving Altuve back would make him tone it down a little. Brantley behind Altuve is a good counter balance though to his hyper aggressiveness sometimes.
So would I. I could see Tuck playing the Springer role.
Tuck
Altuve
Brantley
Yordan
Breg
Abreu
Peña
Chas
Shitty
I know the above doesn’t align with the alternating Lefty righty that Baker likes. Could move Yordan and Bregman up and shift Brantley to 5th to maximize the LRLR setup.

that Baker likes
I think it’s more the minimum 3 batters for a relief pitcher rule than a Dusty thing

What do we think?
Ring debut?
Gold jersey debut?
King Tuck extension?

Signing 2014 version of King Felix

Framber is getting peppered to death. 6 hits through 2.2 innings all singles. 5 of them on ground balls. I'm just listening on audio so I don't know what they look like but I've had my concerns about how the shift bans might impact Framber.

For example, the phillies chose to use the NL homerun leader as their leadoff hitter and it worked exactly as one would hope. He got a crucial late game AB that he otherwise might not have if he was deeper in the line up and he........struck out bunting to end the innning like the fricking buffoon he is.

Why would they tease a King Tuck extension two weeks ahead of time?
Must be the rings.
It's too early for leaf blower season.

I think it's the merch. It's probably the gold jerseys and all the new champions merch. I'm not sure what they'd be announcing about the rings?

I was thinking revealing the design, but now I see that was months ago.
I must have missed it.

Same. I looked back over previous years and there hasn't been an early look at the rings before ring day. Everybody unveils their ring design with the ring ceremony. Tucker extension seems unlikely. So I'm going with merch.
Meanwhile...

Seems like a recipe for hitting a pebble or a weird spot in the dirt and having the ball change direction no?

Yeah, on turf I could see it, but otherwise, no way I want to see it with Altuve's reach

Brown said he felt more optimistic about extensions for Tucker & Valdez a week ago. “We may be further away, particularly on Tucker than Valdez, but I’m one of those to keep hope alive.”
As expected. Crane is probably Correa-ing Tucker.
Tucker: I want 10/$300 million.
Crane: I'll give you 5/$150 and not a penny more. Quit askin.
I'm not sure how I feel about Cranes ways. We've let Cole, JV, Springer and Correa walk at free agency over cost and it looks like we may do the same with Framber, Tucker and Bregmans next deal which actually comes up before Framber and Tuck. Genuinely seems like the only way he'll retain talent is if a guy signs a pre-arb undermarket extensions
Altuve
Bregman
Yed
Javier

I would be pissed if they gave Tucker 10/300 or close to it. He is simply not worth that kind of deal, not many corner OFers are

Tucker was never gonna sign. If he's not signing for Yed money, there was no way we could pay more for him than the other
I think we'll get a Framber deal done, probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 5/125
