Shane beat me to this as I was typing. Evans was fired in 2018 after 3 years as Giants GM. As Shane pointed out, he was essentially their Tim Purpura. Hill checks a minority box but was let go when Derek Jeter took over in Miami. The only Dana Brown I know of did radio commercials (and presumably owned) for the law offices of Ossie Brown in Baton Rouge.

What do we know about those 3?

Mike Hill, Dana Brown, and Bob Evans

All 3 will fit on the back of a license plate

We're good to go

When I get down during the sports doldrums between LSU football and Astros spring training, I think about the time that NL HR leader Schwarber tried to bunt with 2 strikes and 2 outs down by 3 in a World Series elimination game. And I feel better.

I've been watching some '17 playoff games to get my fix during this downtime.

Amazing to me that we survived Keuchel. He was clearly on his way down. I saw him at a fundraiser not long after the WS, and he had a boot on. Injuries and lack of velo really took their toll on him

I always get triggered at the 2019 team and how they didn't win it that year. We were stacked and really should have been fricking Washington.

Yeah, that team was loaded and just choked in the World Series.

Baw, we're Houston, not San Francisco.

It's AJ Hinch and Will Harris at mine

That Series and that game could end up being the closest Cole ever comes to a Championship

More amazing: we survived the bullpen, namely Giles.

It only took one well-timed bag of dicks this past year to get Pressly right. I am pretty sure the DAT sent Giles a truck full of bags o' dick in 2017, to no avail.

Every time y'all bump this thing I think maybe we have a GM, but then it's just an expletive directed towards the Dodgers...

and I'm ok with that

Remember when the Dodgers had a $260 million payroll, 111 wins, didn't make it out of the 1st round and the Astros won the World Series?

As I have gotten older, memories fade....all I can seem to remember is that time Kyle Schwarber bunted with 2 strikes in Game 6

I don't mind losing to the Braves because we did not play well....(I mean I do but don't), however, the Nationals loss hurts the most. Should have never lost that series by dropping every home game. Should have been 3 rings at this point for sure.

Marlins are interested in Yuli. He lives in Miami so he may have mutual interest.

The whole GM thing puzzles me. I am not knowledgeable at all on how front office operations work, but I was under the impression that Luhnow is largely responsible for the current state of the Astros organization.

When Click got fired I thought Crane was going to promote from within - someone who has been around the Organization for some time. My point is I would think we would want someone who knows the culture Luhnow installed to run the front office.
