There will be no melt.

Keuchel was the SP.

Not a single Astro fan went into this game w an expectation of less than a 2-0 deficit going bot 1.

Hinch is giving all the non-playoff roster personnel one last home game.

We would celebrate the occasion like and with some fine wine, but Maldonado found it pregame and there's nothing but empty bottles.

Should we melt?

I would be pissed if I'd paid to watch this shite. But I'd have know better with Keuchel starting.

Peacock has not pitched enough lately. If he's going to be on the playoff roster, he needs innings/appearances. Hinch needs to use him a lot the final week.

They may have all stayed up late watching the angels lose to the As by -2 runs. Probably partied hard.

Being facetious, may lose the division.

Peacock hasn't had enough control of the slider, like Devenski with his entire repetoire

Too many great options out of the pen

If we're being honest, that even includes Sipp, which should tell you all you need to know

3.03 ERA before tonight and was a rarity last October out of the bullpen because he actually stepped up and got the job done a couple of key times.

Brad needs work to be ready for the middle innings in the playoffs.

So last time around, George leads off with a walk and altuve hits into a double play on the first pitch he sees. Then bregman shows patience and works a walk.

This time, altuve actually works a walk and bregman is first pitch swinging. Down 6 runs why isn’t the manager emphasizing base runners. I’m actually shocked that bregman was swinging away first pitch. He should know better.

Maybe you missed my post about them not giving a frick about this game and they’re not having any desire of being there tonight?

Well, we've both seen Peacock go on stretches where he K's everyone when he has control of that slider.

He's on the wrong side of the pendulum presently

No, I saw it and agreed with it. Doesn’t mean you don’t still try to play the game the right way. Anything can happen when you do that.

ETA: and it feels weird that you’re being negative about something and I’m the one holding out a glimmer of hope.

He didn't pitch for 10 days earlier in the month and has only thrown 62 innings. When they moved him into a middle relief roles, that hurt him since the starters have been innings eaters.

If Hunches of Fun is smart, Peacock should see plenty of work to be sharp for Cleveland. We have to deal with first inning Keuchel and a pair of studs (Cole and Morton) who can easily be turned into 5-inning pitchers by the Indians.

We may need Peacock early in a game where we can't wait for Keuchel to "settle in" or where Morton can't find the zone.

Only exception: tLLC has the nuts to carry James and Frambaw on the roster.

Damn, Haniger again.

Good thing Seattle won't make the playoffs. We'd be done if we had to face them in the post-season.

We don’t need to be hurting any good players on a team that still has games left against the As.

Just don't need to pitch to him, and no need wasting pitches

When u see what Cano does vs the Astros, he should be treated like Bonds, but yet we watch him get 3 hits in back to back games

Only reason he didn't get 3 hits in 1st game is he wasn't in the lineup

What a shame bekauskus and Whitley were derailed this year and couldn’t get some time with expanded rosters.

Would have liked to have seen what they could do.

I am operating on the assumption both Valdez and James make the roster

Could be a frontal lobe issue though
