He should be throwing two inning’s worth of bullpen sessions in the locker room cages while guys not in the lineup take batting practice. Whatever he needs to do to get that first shitty inning worth of pitches out of his system. If it means he only goes 4 or 5 innings so be it. But getting the team in an early deficit game after game only puts even more pressure on an offense that struggles to consistently score runs at home.

He either tries to get ahead in the count and gets ambushed, or gets behind in the count and gets hammered.
His other option is to just avoid throwing strikes and count on the hitters chasing.
IOW, smoke and mirrors.
The Mariners were 1 for their last 22 w RISP, and only scored on the pinch hit GS late Mon night, yet 4 hits and 3 runs like clockwork when Keuchel appears.
Keuchel in a playoff start is suicide and the Astros players know it

That’s just terrible. Terrible by keuchel to give up yet another run. And whatever the helll Maldonado was thinking there I have no idea. Kalas is explaining my whole thoughts. Why not continue to tag him?

No, those two runs are definitely on him. Not to say Keuchel is looking playoff worthy though.
