They’re just gonna have to pay Bregs. There really isn’t any other option since we don’t seem to have anyone in the system
Whitcomb or Dezenzo don’t really seem to be the answer but I guess too early to write them off
The only thing I can think of off the top of my head if someone offers Bregs a ridiculous contract we can’t match would be sign a big bat at 1B or OF and then just sign a guy for 3rd who is great defensively but a shitty bat? Idk who that would be
I do know I want nothing to do with entering a season with Dubon being our starting 3b playing everyday

He shouldn't be batting in the 3 spot. He should bat 5 or 6 until he can show his timing is back. Rough ask to hit a guy third after he hasn't played in 3 months and comes back without a rehab stint.
I agree, but he doesn't have to be hitting third yet. If we had a 10-game lead, then, maybe. A 4 1/2-game lead is still a little too close for comfort, especially with 3 coming up against Seattle in 2 weeks.
