With Gurriel so hot right now, it can help Correa get pitches to hit, but that's not usually the goal that far down in the lineup.

You want hits with MOB

I still say Bregman in 2 hole, Altuve 3, Brantley 4, Yed 5, Gurriel 6, Correa 7

I think the way we’re hitting you could argue for several different versions. There’s 7 guys who could bat cleanup, when they’re on. The one thing I do like about how it is now is that Brantley and Alvarez are still high but separated.

Then again, I trust these guys against lefties as much as I do the righties.

It's probably all semantics from us at this point. The lineup is producing a ton of runs and the pitcher wouldn't be "happier" if bregman was hitting 2nd or 7th or correa was hitting 3rd or 6th

Terrible pitch. That’s two mistakes that never should have happened.

I just witnessed what scares the Hell out of me about Cole in the playoffs.

I mean, he had Arenado talking to himself, guessing big time, down 0-2 in the count, and throws a pitch like that

Not the kind of control and execution that comes from playoff winning caliber pitchers

And I'll add that I expect him to be our #3 come playoff time

He needs to face their 3

And probably needs to be at HOME

Arenado is really good and he was definitely trying to throw above the zone.

It was a 99 mph fastball located at the tip top of the strike zone (according to Gameday). Maybe 0-2, you want it an inch or two higher, but this seems more good hitting than bad pitching.

Feel a little sorry for Lambert. The kid is 22 and going against this freight train.

This Colorado pitcher is loading them up every inning. Gotta make him pay at some point

Well, I'm gonna be a contrarian here.

He's 0-2 in an AB where he chased a 50 foot pitch, and he just fouled off a pitch in the zone with an 0-2 count, so he is swing mode.

You all are telling me throwing a FB anywhere in the zone is acceptable?

OK

You are dead on correct. That ball has to be 2 inches above the zone. Or come back with the slider off the outside
