Faedo should know better
Pitched around both ABs
Then fricked around

Singleton two pitches and two easy outs with runners on both times.
Sure would be nice to have Diaz there…but why would we want better chance to increase the lead early?

There’s no way you’re generating more power at impact with you’re back foot off the ground
And if such a thing did exist, you would lose balance and never consistently hit the moving target you’re aiming at
Hitting a baseball and a golf ball are the same. Except that golfers have the advantage of swinging at a stationary target.
Is there a professional golfer that’s back foot is completely off the ground at an impact? And if so (outside of Happy Gilmore), how do you think he would do if the ball were moving? LOL

Well idk what to tell you but Yordan and Tuve have similar actions where their back foot scissors out
Homer in game 6
And speaking of golf, it’s obviously not common but Scheffler has a similar move with his back foot

Well, that’s pretty good examples, but at MOI, there toe is almost simultaneously touching the ground in each case, and Dubon’s is six inches off the ground every time

Dubon’s is more pronounced for sure, because he’s so tiny I think he’s using it get more whip from his bat to just hit the ball harder. He’s been scissoring all year, but at some point in mid-late June he just started to try and lift everything again. Just completely negated what made him valuable

I’m done with Singleton. Call uncle Mike and tell him to meet us in Boston.

Nobody is going to consistently square up the ball swinging like that
Every pro golfer would be doing it. I mean, the ball’s not even moving. LOL
There has to be some reference for balance. It’s hard enough to repeat correct timing and mechanics.

You watching, Verlander? That’s your personal catcher leaving 19 people on base today. Sure would have been nice to have Diaz up there.

Maldy doing what he does best, keeping games close
Thank you Dusty for spacing Jon and Maldonado perfectly apart to ruin four scoring chances in this game already. Brilliant managing
Also reminder Cory Julks still has more ABs than Diaz this season

That was pretty damn vintage JV bowing his neck and getting out of the self inflicted jams
Just sucks he didn’t have the best command of his fastball today and pitch count got elevated
