When he is pitching well, he strikes out a fair number of guys. That means a high pitch count (6th straight outing over 100 today) so it's no surprise he doesn't finish games.

I'm not going back to look at when he gave up runs in his good starts but it seems like he's had several shut outs going and ran into some late trouble. Solid start today either way. Although I was hoping we'd get out of Yankee Stadium able to say our starters didn't allow any runs.

No way, Carter. I refuse to believe it.

He usually struggles very early in starts and very late...when he struggles, that is.

I don't even care anymore. Bitching about Carter striking out is like bitching because the sky is blue. Its always going to happen and theres not a thing you can do about it.

Well you never have to worry about Carter causing an incident like Gomez did last night.

Carter would get mad, but he gets into the batters box expecting to strike out...and he never lets us down.

Out No. 4 for Neshek...incompetent POS behind the plate almost turned this into a tight game.

Watching Gamecast, I hate to see walks from relievers with a 4 run lead.

Turd behind the plate has been a contributing factor.

I think Gattis is what the Astros FO had hoped Chris Carter would have become.

Edit: Since May 1st he is hitting .255 with 18 HR, 9 3B, and 13 2B.

Knowing how far altuve stands from the plate, it's hard to imagine any pitcher being that out of control on a pitch.
