Pretty thorough article on Francis Martes on Fangraphs today:

The fastball and curveball could challenge batters at the highest level right now, and the changeup isn’t too far behind. As far as a timeline is concerned, Martes is probably a year away from contributing at the big-league level. Overall, I’m bullish on Martes and I see a potential frontline starter should he stick in the rotation. There have been whispers of Martes potentially moving to the bullpen; should that happen, I see the entire profile playing up, yielding an elite top-tier closer. Not too shabby, especially when you consider the fact that Martes was essentially the “throw-in/project” from Miami in the Jarred Cosart trade.

So Martes could either be another McCullers or he could be a lights out closer. That's cool

Does it seem like it's been forever since we developed a bullpen arm from our system who came up and contributed? The last one I can recall is Wilton Lopez.
Also, on Carter. I really think it's time for him to go. Not on some angry frick this guy level. He just doesn't seem to be having a good time anymore. He's been benched, he can't hit home runs anymore which is the one value he brings to a team and can't really do much but strike out.
He needs a trip to the minor leagues to get away from the team and mlb pitching for a bit. But he's out of options. I think a change ofscenery would be good for all. Let him go DH for a non competing team and see if he can salvage his career. By all accounts he seems like a good guy and good teammate. Never made an arse of himself on the field with a bad attitude so I hope he can turn things around. I just don't see it being in Houston.

Yes but he had made some intriguing plays in the field.

Missed the entire game today, but I knew it was only a matter of time the bats would get rolling.
Springer's return is imminent as well. Rich about to get even richer.
