Sure, Jan.

That decision’s already been made. They just don’t want to announce it and upset clubhouse morale.

No, if he was going to make positive course corrections, Pena, Hader, Paredes, Brown, Abreu, and Alvarez would all have been traded before the deadline.

Anyone with a brain could see this team isn’t capable of playing up.

They should have punted when values were highest. I will say, maybe, value for Yordan will be higher this off season.

But the rest should have been traded at the deadline.

I know trading Alavarez is a sensitive subject, but I really don’t want the see the man waste away like Mike Trout. Trade him for high value assets, let him chase some rings and MVPs. He won’t be winning any rings in Houston any time soon.

Maybe Dana Brown pushed for Varsho to get them to the promised land this year. Maybe Crane wanted to reload and Dana fought to compete this year.

But I think we all know the score here - Dana whiffed badly with Imai. He whiffed badly with Varsho. He needed to go. Despite the fact he was basically handcuffed and blindfolded for the last 2 years.

Nobody in baseball is going to do a fire sale while in first place. An artificial first place or not. That was never going to happen, it’s fantasy baseball dreamland.

We can have the opinion all we want. It was NEVER going to happen. No org would do it it’s just silly to keep acting like that was a realistic possibility
