Yes. It's one game. His defense is critical in a one game scenario.

Yes, you get the lead early before the killer Yankee pen takes over. Then you sub in Jake for defense if you have the lead, like we've always done.

I'm thinking like hinch. I want my best defense out there in a one game scenario. But they could go that way as well. I just don't want Kemp running the NFL route tree in a playoff game.

Zero chance Hinch would start Kemp in the field in a one-game playoff in the Bronx. He would put Marwin in LF to start. Or maybe even Marwin in RF and Reddick in LF due to the dimensions.

As you know, I respect your opinion, but Verlander is the tell tale in so far as Stassi is concerned.

And the only reason I bother to mention that is I don't think there's any way in Hell they are letting Stassi call playoff pitches after what happened in Yankee Stadium last year.

Man that is GREAT!

Perfect capture

I had an idea for a GIF I was going to throw your way that would have been awesome to use, but my 50 yo CRS won't let me think of it today.

Should have posted it yesterday when it came to me.

If you bet a MLB starting pitcher in every game so far this season, guess who would have made you the most money.

Yep, Fiers.

And the biggest gambling loser in the AL? Verlander.

Underdogs is only way to win long term.

Meaning season long, not life long.

Blackjack McDowell was the only favorite I ever saw as a favorite that paid. Day games only. Crazy stat.

I ran into him late '90s at the Hard Rock in Vegas one time and asked him about it. He was well aware, almost like he bet on himself.

I'm glad Bregman did this with his day off out in LA, instead of getting his hair colored blonde!
