All Miley had to do today was not be garbage with the way the offense is today. He couldn't even do that.

Also, anyone else kind of pissed we didn't beat Baltimore on Sunday? With the Yankees butt fricking them all series (and all year) long, we should have beat them. Could be the difference in home field advantage in the ALCS/World Series.

We did. He hasn’t been as bad as the score. I’m not even sure the White Sox score in that second inning without all the chaos. In fact, he’s only given up two earned runs. Although his error in the second was a part of that.

I haven't had the chance to watch, but I'm following best I can on the internet.

Seems like we've had some errors as much as Miley not helping himself.

That Devo error was the worst I've seen this year in baseball. That's contagious with a pacifist like Hinch as your leader.

Quite honestly, I never understood how anyone could defend not making that deal OR actually tried to argue- here on this board- that Chirinos was just as good as (or better) than Realmuto.

You would have traded Tucker for Realmuto?

Yep. Proven commodity at a position of HUGE need for us for a "prospect".

Wahoocs, you wouldn’t believe some of the plays today. Disgusting baseball. It shows we have two errors but there have been more.

In the 4-run second a ball was hit into short left near the line. Correa did a great job going to get it and backhanding it on a couple of hops. The guy from second rounded third two far and slipped trying to come back to the bag. They had him dead to rights but correa threw a one hopper that bregman couldn’t gather and that cost them an out. That guy scored on a suicide squeeze by the next batter that Miley tried to field and flip with his glove all in one motion only to flip it over Chirinos’ Head to the backstop which Chirinos lolligagged back to get, allowing the guy from second to score too without a throw.

Two out of three losses. They’re terrible. Only gained a half-game in the standings yesterday and the lead is only 10 1/2. What a dogshit team.

It's about gaining homefield advantage and winning the whole thing. Great team, talent and organization. Show me where the team was insulted as a bad one. I'll hang up and listen.

Hindsight is 20/20. But the fact that tucker hasn’t been called up yet to replace reddick or even straw and seeing as how Chirinos has turned into Stassi in just about every way, the deal should have been made. If tucker gets a chance he better live up to it.

So basically I’m saying what you were saying. If you have a chance to get the premier position player in the game at catcher you take it. Especially if the guy they wanted can’t even make his way onto the roster. There’s a void offensively with reddick but not giving up tucker leaves two voids if you add Chirinos.

These men are being asked to play 3 games in the span of 24 hours.

You people are ridiculous.

Next thing you know, you'll expect them to be the machines in the other dugout that are kicking our men's asses.

No, not referring to you. You were adamant from the beginning. I’m referring to a lot of folks that were giving you crap in April when Chirinos got off to such a good start. That good start is the only reason why he’s not batting below .200 right now. I think more folks may be realizing we missed out, especially since we’ve not seen tucker at all.

I think the major issue with Chirinos is that he's wearing down. It's the mistake of thinking Stassi was going to be anything rather than getting another veteran catcher on the cheap that could handle more games that's the big issue.

Chirinos should be a backup catcher. Stassi shouldn't be on a roster anywhere.....Of course, there is a shortage at that position right now. But management failed on this one. They've put us in position to win it any way so I'm not coming down on them any more, but put Realmuto in this lineup.....wow.

That’s actually another factor that somewhat goes to Off mcvoy’s Point. Yes, the organization didn’t do the pitching staff or the offense any favors by employing a practically unserviceable catcher to back up Chirinos, but realmuto is 7 years younger than Chirinos, more durable and in his prime.

I think the lesson is, you can find a quality outfielder a lot easier than you can find a premier catcher. I don’t know if tucker and some smaller pieces was enough. No one will ever know. Maybe they wanted tucker and Alvarez at the time. But if tucker is such a game changer then why isn’t he up right now?
