Yeah, he did seem a little too happy about that.

So, the relief pitching comes in and outside of the flare to left that scored that 6th run for the rays,does it's job. However, the starting pitching failed. It seems recently neither component can get on the same page.

That was an unfortunate game, between the return of shitty 1st inning Fiers and a BABIP disaster

Frankly I feel a little better about the team after this game than last night. We knocked Archer a "TOR" starter around and even with BABIP disaster and a beat up lineup we put up 4 on him. The bullpen held its own, Giles in a non save situation didnt melt down.

The only negative is Fiers seems to be coming back down to earth but he has obviously been pitching above his talent level for the last month and a half. Its time for a little regression.

Shame we couldn't get a 100+-pitch, 4 inning, 1 or less run effort from fiers tonight.
