I don’t think there’s anyone that’s specifically lefty that makes sense. I would be fine getting a Teoscar Hernandez or Adam Duvall for cheap to simply upgrade Julks. I don’t see us doing that though.
And honestly with how brutal this market is for bats Duvall might not even be that cheap

Who? I genuinely don't know who's fits the bill now that the Cubs are pretender contenders. A few months back I threw together a list of potentials but I've purged it since then
It doesn't need to be an obvious upgrade but just an option on the bench to mix in there. Alec Burleson is just one name that makes some sense, just to replace Julks as Shane mentions.

I’d be on board with Burleson for sure

want no part of giving up Gilbert for him
Gilbert, Clifford and Luis Baez are the 3 I'd hate to give up. I think they're going to climb up prospects rankings by next season.

Seth Brown of the A's is a lesser tier LHB option. He's strictly a platoon guy, unplayable against lefties.

Ji-Man Choi is another who fits that description.

Michael Brantley would be a tremendous LHB to add. Shame about what happened to him. May he RIP.

The guy took live batting practice a week or so ago, just sayin'

He took live batting practice a few months ago too

Brantley recently took dead batting practice from Whitley.

I’d like Scott Barlow from KC if we’re adding another pen piece
Jwho did mention Jake covering CF at Kauffman in the near future last night…

Carlos Hernandez from KC is interesting as well. Having a breakout year

Meanwhile, the #Astros are the heavy favorites to land Justin Verlander IF he is traded.

I believe it's Astros or nothing. JV and Kate aren't uprooting again unless it's to come back here.

I had remained a detached skeptic on JV's return until this morning, but my inner fanboy has taken over now. Refreshing various sites until I see the news drop and will actually be kind of disappointed if it doesn't happen now.

Always felt like they were anti-Los Angeles.
Not that they don't visit or enjoy visiting, just anti-living in LA.
