Isn’t that redundant? Douching is all Jomboy does.

Looks like a guy who would take his wife's last name.

How do ya'll feel about Javier becoming a valuable member of the rotation? His first start was extremely promising.

Why does that t-shirt have an image of James Carville on it?

He can definitely stick at this level. His command was great and I thought and showed incredible poise wiggling out of some jams. Granted there were no fans in the stadium, but still first start against that offense with all the emotion and disdain those two teams have for each other it was pretty special to see him stay within himself and attack the zone.

Started losing some velo and command at the 65 pitch mark so looks like he needs to build that arm strength up, but Dusty leaving him in with bases loaded and two outs and him getting out of it had to give him a ton of confidence.

He was really good. I just need to see a larger sample size along with his performance after the league gets a look at him.

I hear Trout is supposed to have a baby coming up. Anyone know when?

Should be sometime the next few days. He was placed on paternity leave yesterday.

I'm extremely excited about Javier but trying to temper my expectations since it was only one start. But he's for sure our #3 by pure default right now. I have no clue what happens when Valdez or James get on the hill. It was so nice to have a pitcher that stayed around the plate for the first time in 3 days.

He's walked 3.9 per 9 innings in his minors career. Maybe Strom has tinkered with him to fine tune control but that's something to watch in his starts moving forward.

I thought he showed more willingness to work up in the zone than Dallas ever did.

Yeah exactly. I feel like if we can get Verlander healthy we could have Verlander, Greinke, McCullers, Urquidy, Javier we would be set, and have a loaded bullpen with James, Valdez, Pressly, Osuna.
