The Astros, especially JV, continue to make the Mariners their bitch this season.

Tonight it's everyone's favorite Frambaw against righty Flexen.

No one on the Mariners has had much success against Frambaw, but only JP Crawford and Dylan Moore have more than 10 ABs against him. His only start against the Mariners this season was his last start where he picked up a W and his 16th straight quality start.

Meanwhile the Astros have had plenty of success against Flexen, led by Yed who is 4/12 with 2 bombs and 5 RBI against him. Bregman, Meyers, Pena, and Tucker are all above .300 against Flexen, so hopefully we see them all in the lineup... but you know Dusty is gonna Dusty.

While we all wait for first pitch... anyone have the sauce on some trades?

Hopes he’s not fooled by Aledmys Diaz homering twice, once off a catcher, the recent surge by Fatty and an appearance by Zombie Yuli.

Yuli is 5 for his last 11. Small sample size and I would not want to ride the last 2 months betting on that type of production. He’s abysmal with RISP, as was pointed out in yesterday’s DAT.

Don’t take the bait, Cluck. Get a bat or two.

"We like where we're at. We're the reigning AL Champs, we've been to 5 straight ALCS, we think we're the standard other teams need to measure up against. If you look at Yuli the last 2 months, he's really come around and started to look like his old self. You always like to assess where there are opportunities to add on if it makes sense but we didn't feel pressured to make a move and like I said we feel like we have a championship caliber club as currently constructed. " James Click said after the club failed to make any significant additions at Tuesdays trade deadline.

The Nats are said to be asking for the moon and a side of fries on Bell. You must need to be reminded Yuli has hit .288 in July and .264 over the last 2 months. Say it with me

WE BELIEVE IN YULI. HE HAS A PROVEN RECORD AS A HIGH LEVEL HITTER AND HAS A LOT OF RESPECT IN OUR CLUBHOUSE. .

Resistance is futile.

You'll get a Niko, Robel or Maury level offensive addition, you'll smile and you'll say your line. "We believe in Yulieski Gourriel Castillio."

I like going to the 2022 Clutch stats pages for Yuli and comparing them to Bell, especially after accidentally running across a simp piece from Astrofan's friends.

Tucker (.245) is now only hitting 1 point above Bregs (.244) and 4 above Yuli (.241). Hate to see that.
