This is Casey Kasem, and we’ve got a very special Long Distance Dedication coming your way. This one comes from Shane, a loyal Houston Astros fan, who’s got something to say to a few members of the team. Here’s what he writes:
'Dear Casey,
The trade deadline is always a bittersweet time for us fans. You cheer for your team, you get attached to the players, but sometimes, the game moves on, and so do they. This dedication is for those Space Cowboys who’ve given their all out on the field, but whose time with the big club is coming to an end after this trade deadline. You’ve battled under the rooftop, chased those fly balls, and swung for the fences. We’re grateful for every moment, but now it’s time to turn the page. Please play Closing Time, and not a moment too soon. You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here.'
So, for those Sugar Land Space Cowboys heading to new horizons, from Shane and all the fans who’ll never forget you, here’s Semisonic with Closing Time."
And there you have it, a heartfelt dedication from Shane to those Space Cowboys moving on after the trade deadline. Keep your feet on the ground, and keep reaching for the stars. This is Casey Kasem, and we’re counting down the hits on American Top 40.

I hope this happens. I’d love to see him win #300 one day.

Is this the guy went sent Uncle Mike to the Barves thread for?

I don’t think I’ve been involved in any transactions.

I don't drink RC or Pepto Bismol.

JWho is asking the wrong questions. How often do you find yourself becoming dead?
We've taken a stand against that type of behavior in 2025.

He was in his early 20s back in 1955 so I'm guessing he's dead.

Surgery, did not really see that one coming. Best case scenario would be back for playoffs and be rusty as hell. That sucks.
The second opinion is likely to reveal something far more sinister than being out 2+ months.

Is Correa gonna happen? If he won't waive his no-trade for anyone else that gives the Astros plenty of leverage.
Which of course means they'll overpay.
