Last night was fun as the Astros increase their deficit by another game to -7.5 behind the team in Oakland. Now we face our old pal Mike tonight and look to take the series. Also, Yordan is good at the beisbol.

Mike Petriello of the athletic did his trade predictions article.

He had HOU getting wheeler and Jake diekman.

Minor to the yankees

Stroman to the A's.

Bumgarner not traded.

Ken Giles to the Dodgers. Lol.

I can live with that IF wheeler is healthy.

I’d be very surprised if yanks go after minor at this point. You know that both luhnow and cashman are taking into account “how does this trade help me beat the Astros/Yankees?” And minor certainly hasn’t helped matters there

Minor has been pretty good against us. They won't need a guy who can shite us out. If a guy can go 5 innings and hold us to 4 runs the Yankees will win.

Well, both of these guys have some advanced stats indicating that they should be pitching better than their ERAs indicate, but neither gets me really excited either.

Wheeler could certainly be a quality 4th SP for the rest of the season. I don't think he beats out Miley for the 3rd spot in the playoffs, but he would be good enough for when the 4th guy is needed.

4 starts, 4.13 ERA this year. 15 games, 12 starts, 4.54 ERA for his career.

That's pretty solidly mediocre... but it's also WAY better than Zack Wheeler's numbers against the Yankees, albeit Wheeler only has 3 career starts against them with a 7.04 ERA.

Has Yordan hit a homer where you initially weren't sure it was gonna get out? I only remember no doubters from him.

Impossible to take those predictions seriously when he has Giles going to the Dodgers

LA knows firsthand what Giles can do in the playoffs

Too many arms they can get without THAT risk.

Every time i see this I can't help but think of "lights out" Lidge who lost all his confidence with the Astros then closed everyone down for the Phillies to win the WS just a couple years later. Closers are weird people

Pretty sure last year Ryno said in both June and July that the As would win the division, guaranteed.

Another few saying we would miss the playoffs entirely

This is becoming a yearly thing, I’d be alarmed if he didn’t say it at this point
