We are going to win tonight.
Yed is the best baseball player ever.
One of these 2 statements are true

I want to believe. I really really want to believe we win tonight, but I still believe Texas sweeps us this weekend. Not confident whatsoever if we couldn't even win with fricking Gerrit Col on the mound when our horrible bullpen blows an 8-4 lead in the 7th. Don't see it at all.
Also since we keep talking about trading for starting pitchers, I 100% ant Robbie Ray. He's young, he's having a really good season, Arizona could be looking to sell, and he's only 27. Not sure if he's an expiring or not (I don't believe he is), but this. This is the starting pitcher I want above anyone else. Thor, Stroman, Bumgarner, Wheeler, etc.

Not real high on Ray, he walks a bunch of folks and gives up a bunch of HRs.

Just curious, but who would you trade for?

I WANT to trade for Thor or Bauer
We’ll prolly end up with Wheeler which I’d be ok with

The LLC is not worried. Saving it all for when the games count!

More like Boyd
I'm leery of paying the high price for a guy who had a career ERA above 5 and K/9 below 8 in 90 games before having a breakout 3 month stretch. Maybe he's legit. Randos have breakout seasons all the time but I'm still skeptical who's the real Matt Boyd.

Agreed, but he seems like the most logical choice. I really don't think the Mets/Indians are going to move their aces. Especially since they will be looking for MLB ready young talent. I think the Padres fit both and could see them and the Indians working out something. Say Renfroe plus a few young pitchera

Yordan is amazing

There’s really not a clear cut target out there with a reasonable return on a moderate investment.
That’s one reason I think the environment is right for a blockbuster kind of deal.
Look at what the Dodgers did recently w/o any damage to their current championship run.
The Mets would have to listen. Correa wants NY. His phantom ailments cured by a long term commitment. Real money like his teammate younger than him got.
Any one of 3 possible arms w a SS for Correa and a sliding scale of prospects, depending on which arm it is.
Think about how long it’s been since Correa has been a significant part of this team. His arm and defense have never been in question, but his bat hasn’t been a real factor in over a year.
I think sending him to W Palm shortly after his ill-timed ASG comment and subsequent 60 Day IL placement is intriguing. LOL

It would be ballsy but also proactive. A novice GM like the ex-agent in NY would be one to go after. Thor and Lugo would solve a multitude of problems.
