And his throws to home are just a bit off line

Where the hell was that throw supposed to be going ?

Rasmus easily guns that guy. Hell.margin probably does.

Yep. Jake runs down a ton of balls but he is not an accurate thrower. He is a rangy defensive replacement and pinch runner. Other than that, he sucks hard.

I get what you're saying, but I'm not sure it's possible to define what Jake does as a "role".

He ain't going down this year. He's here to stay. Just like gomez.

I mean, if our starters could log more innings, we could carry one less reliever. Then, Jake would be the perfect end-of-bench luxury. But we don't/can't have that luxury.

I know there are other indicators, but if you can't hit .200 that's bad, Jake and Reed too. I think Castro brought his avg up to there.
Actually if you are a position player and your numbers are not at least or above Castro that should be an automatic send down.

We don't need a late inning defensive replacement though. All of our OF starters are above average defensively. Jake is useless on this team.

Such shitty luck again for Dallas. Slow single, sac bunt and broken bat single and Jake makes a horrible throw. Oh, and we can't hit.

We have to be prepared every single day for our starter to go less than 5. It's a very real part of the equation because of the poor job the front office did

Reed's had 34 ABs in the majors, a little dishonest to lump him in with Jake.

I would almost rather have Marwin & Colby platoon out there and let Luis play 1st and Bregs on third. Can't be any worse.

Well, we would if we are platoon otherwise in CF. Weakens the bench. Jake is a fine pinch runner, too. He would be a worthwhile luxury with a 13 position player bench.

G1 One run in the 1st.
G3 Two runs in the 9th.
G4 Zero runs through 5
Who are we playing?
Who are these pitchers?
Eta. MVP Altuve sac bunt, ok call, but is this what's it's come to?

This guy for the A's has an ERA WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY over 5.00, yet we still can't get any runs off of him?
