It's a tricky deal. If Carlos says no, you don't move him.

Yeah, with the way Valbuena has been playing you can't really stop playing him so you could move him to 1st to make room for Bregman. But then Reed is almost ready and if he stays hot, it's time for him to come up. I guess you could use Val-1st, Reed-DH and Breg-3rd, cut Worth and send Kemp back to AAA. That makes sense in my head.

What is a realistic call up time for Bregman? Would it take a legitimate injury from Correa or Valbuena for him to come up this season?

I think Reed is the next call up if there are any infield injuries because with Marwin and Worth you could shift things around to make room for him at 1B. Reed will probably get the call soon even without injury once they see what they need to from Worth.

They could make due with Reed and the utility guys unless there was a longer term injury to Correa, in which case Bregman would probably get the chance. Ultimately, I think Bregman's immediate position and future will be determined at the trade deadline, or after winter deals and free agency once they take stock of where the team stands.

12 pitches and avoided the usual 1st inning troubles. Excellent.

Righties hit Shoemaker better than lefities. Hinch stacks the lineup with lefties.

Correa still needs protection in this lineup.

Ramsus has just been terrible outside of the first 3 weeks.

ETA: Since April 25th he's hit: .213/.272/.282 w/ a wRC+ of 50. 7.8% BB, 30.7% K, .304 BABIP, not even bad luck.

Did you say he has a no hitter? I want to make sure I heard that he had a no hitter. Because if he has a no hitter I want to know that he has a no hitter.

I don't even think that is necessary.

There isn't a reasonable argument out there, except that he's a club house leader (Rasmus), that Bregman can't perform better than that.

Also, this seems like a very LMJ forgot how to pitch inning.

Lance actually hasn't been hitting his spots with the fastball all game. That's not uncommon.

This inning could easily turn out to be a disaster. Just giving up 1, even 2 runs, would be manageable
