Maybe this team can actually have a winning record.

Shoemaker absolutely dominated us last time we faced him, didn't he? We're still all waiting on a major shutdown performance from Lance, not that he's been bad or anything but hasn't quite put it all together. A sweep would be very nice

Shoemaker has a Kershaw like 55/2 K:BB ratio over his past 6 starts.

Bregman back in the lineup today with a lead off double. They need to quit fricking around and move him up, what more does he need to prove in AA?

Correa heating up
Reed heating up
Bregman still a beast
Signed Whitley
Consistently decent pitching

Things are looking up

If he doesn't come up this year for some reason I will be extra salty next year when he missed the first 3 weeks while they frick with his service time clock

I just don't see how he doesn't help the current team.

A guy that is 6'7 or so and hasn't filled out yet is quite promising.

He could be the piece that pushes us over the top in 2021 to complete the 5-peat

That's just the front office not making much of an effort to sign anyone or spend money.

They probably could have paid him even more.

Whitley said he thinks his changeup is his best secondary pitch. He already has my heart.

@cchooks
LF Danry Vasquez and SS Alex Bregman cut down Miguel Del Castillo at the plate on a Mason Smith double. 1-0 #cchooks T6

Whitley has ace potential. I still love that pick. I'm excited to see how he develops

I'm glad we didn't take a "high floor" college guy with that pick. We have a few of those guys in the system already

What is a realistic call up time for Bregman? Would it take a legitimate injury from Correa or Valbuena for him to come up this season?

I get the feeling Bregman is on hold right now... Correa will finish this season at SS and will be moved to 3B in the off season. If they were serious about Bregman at 3B, he'd be getting the majority of his starts there.
