Chas has no chance tonight vs Lynn's fastballs. I'll be surprised if he puts a ball in play. But hey maybe he closes his eyes and makes contact with one.

I hate when the light b/w the mound and plate are a factor

Thought the roof was open

Got a pic from MMP showing roof is closed

It won't be open again until maybe September.

Its to be closed if it's above 84 degrees for a day game or a head index of 88+ for a night game.

That was a dumb decision to dive with 2 outs. Chas got lucky to keep it from going past him.

When the 6-9 part gets their own inning it sets up perfectly for a switch over to golf or Vandy-Arizona, like that bottom of the second

Ump missed strike three that would have ended the inning.

And it costs at least a run.

So naturally it leads to a run.

Rob Manfred is a useless POS.

Perfect example of one missed pitch by a human vs electronic possibly changing the outcome of a game

Thing is, it wasn't even that close to being a ball. It was totally based on Maldonado expecting the location somewhere else and made the pitch look worse than it was.

But Framber not getting that pitch diving at his back foot w an 0-2 count is more disappointing than our typical gripes

The fact that catchers have to "frame" pitches so umpires know when they are strikes is the reason why umpires behind the plate need that job removed for a more accurate method. It's not debatable anymore, expect for simps.

Umps can't frick hitters out of lucky hits so they shouldn't be allowed to frick pitchers out of lucky strikes anymore when we have a better method. It's really that simple.

Maldanado is a lot things, none of which are to be confused with eye hand coordination
