Ok. for all y'all still worried about the division.

The A’s have the 12th toughest MLB schedule remaining, and Astros have the 24th, the easiest in the AL.

My concern is the A’s deal for Story and just generally start playing better. I’m not super worried about passing them but frustrating because they seem to win every close game they’re in and our bullpen shits away games that are close (and some that aren’t)

Sure, but their schedule has been easy. I'm sure they will upgrade a little but so will Click. Upgrading the bullpen is the easiest part of a roster to fix.

But he should hurry up.

Meanwhile, your current AL player of the week is our old friend, Max Stassi.

It takes very little faith to expect him to make a trade for a least a decent middle reliever or two who can actually throw strikes. We're not even talking 8th or 9th inning types, although one true setup man in case Baez never comes would be preferable.

Must have been a really bad week in the American League. The Angels' opponents should be embarrassed.

Is he a lock to stick at catcher?

Sounds like it. They’ve been playing him in the OF and 3B a little

Been a while since we’ve had a half interesting prospect at catcher.

Do any of yall know where I can find game by game pitch spin rates? I can't find that anywhere on statcast. I'm curious about Frambers curveball yesterday. His curve spin is in the elite category so during Spin rate gate I'm curious if his was down yesterday.

You can go to the scoreboard on top and select games by date. His curveball was still elite spin level

Yeah, his stuff was fine but his command was off, yet he still got the job done like a Frambace.

Finally found it.

He actually went from an already elite 2,800 to up over 3,000 yesterday.

I was curious because to only have 2Ks when he's been absolutely destroying souls with his curve.

Too much spin. Also explains the command.

@KendallRogers
BREAKING: @TCU_Baseball has scheduled a ‘major’ announcement tomorrow afternoon in Fort Worth. If you’ve been reading our Coaching Scoop pieces, the expectation is that Kirk Saarloos will be named #TCU’s head coach. Much deserved.

That's Astros and A's legend Kirk Saarloos.
